Originally owned and developed by the Gumz Family the property has provided excellenthunting for generations. The Gumz Family properties provided such great hunting that in 1982 nearly 800 acres was Purchased by the State of Indiana to add to the Kankakee Fish and Game Preserve. To this day it is referred to as the Gumz unit. This property has been part of private hunting clubs for decades and has always had a substantial waiting list as it does today.
In 2010 the Kankakee Marsh Hunt Club was sold by Kevin Gumz to Jeff Dunifon who plans to keep improving the club in the years ahead. Kevin is an avid outdoorsman and hunter since his younger days. Welcome to the King Farms website. King Farms is designed to provide you with everything you will need to hunt pheasant, quail and chukar, as well as provide you with opportunities for training your dog from the puppy stage all the way to a finished dog. We also offer "training for the trainer", where the mistakes of a new trainer can be eliminated to prevent possible bad habit in the dog.
We offer an array of different settings to give the feel of different parts of the state where you would hunt wild birds. We have a prairie grass field, a strip field, a semi-hilly brush field and a puppy training field. Depending upon what you choose to hunt, we have it to offer.
We also have puppies and polished dogs for sale with proven blood lines and a history of elite dogs.

Hunters, we offer hunting vests, coats, chaps, briar proof bibs and shotgun shells for sale. We ask all hunters to use 6 or 71/2 shot size and nothing larger. Also anyone hunting must have one article of orange clothing.
