All Ohio hunting laws must be obeyed. Ohio residents must have a valid hunting license, non-residents are exempt. Hunter orange must be worn at all times. No alcoholic beverages are permitted before or during hunts or field dog training.
We also welcome out of state and international hunters to our place.
We pride ourselves in making your hunting experience one you not forget. Once you are in our fields you will quickly forget you are on a hunting preserve. We believe that the terrain and cover are as important as the birds we put out.
Our Quail hunts are like the hunts that used to be years ago with very explosive coveys that fly fast and far.
Our pheasants look and act like the wild ones and are a challenge to shoot.

Our goal is simple, to offer high quality hunts to varmint hunters at a reasonable price. We do this by limiting our bookings to only 70 hunts per year.
This allows North Central Ohio Varmint Express to maintain our high quality service without over-hunting any of our more than 100 private hunting sites and over 21,000 acres.
The result is simple, more shots, more kills, and more fun.
Whether you're a serious long range shooter, or a recreational shooter looking for a new and unique hunting opportunity. Regardless of your ability, come join us for a hunt....You'll be glad you did!

My name is Dennis McKinney, my son-in-law Josh Sullivan and I came to your lodge to hunt. It was the hunt of my life. It is now Dec. 18 of 2010 and I'm still talking about it. You people treated us better than alot of family members would. I got to spend some time with my son-in-law and seen bucks that I've never would of dreamed to see until I came to your place. You all have a beautiful place to hunt and the bucks you have is a hunters dream.
I really want to come back. I killed a 135 - 140 class whitetail 9 point. I was really pleased with my deer. I met alot of good people from other states and places in Ohio. Darring and his son (Justin) from Maryland, very nice and respectable people.

In the state of Ohio, there are two counties out of the 88 that are more than 75 % forest. Vinton County and Lawrence County. We are in Vinton County and Lawrence is our neighbor to the south along with Jackson, Athens, Gallia and Meigs counties.
Southeastern Ohio has always been known as big buck country. Vinton County is a relatively small county, in area, compared to some of the eastern counties that have a bigger number of deer killed each year. For a small county in area, we are always right up there in deer kill and Ohio Big Bucks. There is just enough agriculture here, our deer are grain fed, but have plenty of woods and habitat to run in.
